How I got my first job by asking a lot of questions

The recruiter from EDS, where I got my first job, was so impressed by the fact that I had questions for him rather than only questions for me.  Finding a win-win position means asking questions for a potential employer in addition to answering their questions.

In the case of EDS, I had already researched the company.  I already know about Ross Perot, the founder and CEO, and the businesses in which EDS provided services.  I had a lot of questions regarding their training program, their financials, and the direction of the company.

All my questions got my the job offer that I accepted.
